I feel like they blamed class 1A because well, the other classes are also just teenagers themselves. Teenagers whoโs classes have been kind of forgotten and pushed away because of 1A being everywhere, winning the Sports festivals, all over the news ect. And sometimes jealous teenagers get bitter.
And second I feel like because the harsh safety rules after the attacks affected the whole school, even the kids who had nothing to do with it. Everyone kinda had to pack their lives into bags and move into the school dorms. The whole questioning on the way they went to the training camp almost right away after attacking villians? Valid as fuck. Similar to the covid; everyone suffered because some peopoe couldnโt just accept to wear masks and do social distancing.
Iโm not saying the other classes are right for hating on 1A, Iโm saying it doesnโt come from nowhere. They are teenagers also who likely arenโt given the full story, and to who 1A went to a training camp in middle of nowhere right after being attacked, wich even I can say is stupid.

actually why did they blame Class 1A it wasn't there fault? the first attack they did because they hard All Might was there so they could kill him, the forest training wasn't there fault they had that sports festival and the villains saw it, what happened with Stain had nothing to do with Class A either sure Ida did get that job just to do that but a villain was rampant anyways, I don't understand why they blamed Class A
i remember a fic called Social Media 101 where after the sports festival people straight up hated Bakugo to the point he starts to get death threats by both phone and on the mail, and couldn't even go out without getting cornered + Mitsuki fully believes her own son deserves that and does nothing to help him. I had to stop reading after a while cuz it was so cruel but so realistic it made me sad asf

General Studies had no right to say all that ๐ฉ bout Class 1-A when realistically none of it was actually their faults they got attacked twice by the League of Villains.

The general society in MHA always irritated me with how much victim blaming there was and it was framed as the correct thing. I think initially it was painted that way but there were brief moments which highlighted how this was an actual flaw of their society. Todoroki & Deku getting blamed for stopping a villain & saving a hero/Ilda, Bakugo being jeered at for not holding back against Ochako, obviously Deku getting chastisted for stepping in to save Bakugo, Deku being silenced & Mirio being reassured on not stepping in to save Eri initially. There were just so many instances where you can see how if you break the barrier of respectability/"correctness" you are framed as in the wrong, even though these exceptions are ultimately correct and should be done. I initially had a really big issue because I thought Hori agreed with it because the opinion of the general public and authority figures in MHA was SO OVERWHELMING. But as the series peel back the layers of hypocricy and how fragile this hero system was, eventually turning against their own heroes and having to force children onto the frontlined of a war, it demonstrates just how meaningless it all is and, hopefully, by the end of the series it has all changed in a positive direction where citizens ate not restricted to complete inaction and dont create such a stifling society in turn.
