No it was losing everything..I lost the woman I spent a lifetime looking for, and that's not hyperbole..I had a wish list, that i started, after losing someone, who gave me my 1st real taste of " love"..and I kept evolving it, over the yrs, thru relationships and situationships, to crystallize who exactly it was ...gave up on finding her...I finally meet that someone who hits all the boxes,but someone I also fell " in love" with, which had never happened to me..only to be rejected by her..that's a wound that's never going to heal or stop bleeding.

Loosing him meant loosing my best friend… the man who promised me the world and to love me till the end of time… we were engaged, looked at dresses, picked out our wedding spot… I was there during the hard times… the job swaps, the bad days and the good… gave him everything I could… 2 boys, a home, a family… and I guess it just wasn’t enough… it wasn’t enough that I lost sleep knowing you were hurting and I couldn’t help… wasn’t enough when I stressed myself to the point of exhaustion to make sure you never had to feel tied down… allowed myself to hurt and cry myself to sleep without waking you because I didn’t want to feel like a bother… now I lay in my room, wondering if she can make you even the slightest bit happier than me… wondering if maybe she can heal something that you couldn’t allow yourself to see… maybe she is a phase that will be over and done by the end of the week… maybe you will come back to me and we can start over? Loosing him has been the hardest thing in my life… and it will never not eat me alive knowing I could have changed it if I would have just listened…
