Hope you all have a safe, blessed week!🇮🇹 Spaghetti with Tuna, Capers & Black Olives Ingredients * Spaghetti * 1 can tuna packed in oil * 1 can whole peeled tomatoes * Capers * Black olives * Garlic, chopped * Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) * Salt and black pepper, to taste * Hot pepper flakes, optional Instructions 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions. 2. Meanwhile, heat EVOO in a large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, without letting it brown. 3. Add the capers and black olives, stirring to combine. 4. Add the whole peeled tomatoes, crushing them by hand as you add them to the pan. 5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Let the sauce simmer until the tomatoes soften and the flavours come together. 6. Gently stir in the tuna. If desired, add a little oil from the can for extra flavour. Cook until warmed through. 7. Transfer the cooked spaghetti directly into the sauce, allowing some pasta water to come along with it. Toss until evenly coated. 8. Serve with hot pepper flakes, if desired. 9.
