it only serviced buses and taxis, which makes for better access especially for the disabled. the end of an era and likely lower sales for the retailers!! I won't be visiting again

So Sad There was nothing nicer than taking the bus route from bayswater road, down Oxford Street and turning right at Oxford Circus on to Regent street especially at Christmas

It's less than 1 mile of Oxford Street this is happening to... I grew up in London and yes used these busses but so many city centres pedestrianise their main shopping street.... there are 3 tube stations ...Bond Street is the 1/2 way point ....I will be visiting next month and think it will be better with no cars

Hopefully they don’t do the same to regent street like i understand why they wanna do it bc it makes it cleaner but it’s hard and isn’t the same as it would of been back then if they did it bc of all the bigger population and idk why they keep blocking off roads
