Bath & Body Works has done this before too. The Belle set from the Disney Princess collection was just their Covered in Roses in a different color bottle. These companies have been doing this for a while. My problem with Dove doing this, is that the shelf life is now shorter. I'd love to know how long the one with Asian writing was sitting before being re-labled.

I work in product development. It’s common for global companies to use over labels for different SKUs, looks like the under label is a different region so they’d have to over label for many reasons like customs clearance etc x

They probably had a labelling error during production / manufacturing of packaging and is cheaper to over sticker than replace the whole container
