@rpn: BLACK OCTOBER: how to protect yourself? 1. Update your passwords for anything critical and set up 2-factor authentication on everything. Token-based, not SMS. 2. Run a full security audit on your home WiFi using an LLM. Consider getting all of your IoT devices on a guest network. 3. Scam calls and messages are getting out of control, never share a code sent to you with anyone. Period. 4. Freeze your credit (I use Experian for this) and for max protection get an identity protection PIN from the IRS. 5. Keep a simple emergency kit at home in case online services go down for a brief or extended period of time: cash, printed copies of your important account numbers, backup codes, contacts, etc. #blackoctober #cybersecurity
