@tobeys_tales: Meet Sand 🏖 ID: A1410552 Age: 9 months Weight: 46 pounds Location: San José Animal Care Center Shelter page: https://24petconnect.com/SNJSAllPets/Details/SNJS/A1410552 🌿🐾Sand's Tails and Trails Adventure🐶🌳: Sand enjoyed a six-mile adventure at Hellyer Park and Paseo Park, where he was fascinated by all the sights and sounds and remained calm around squirrels, bikes, strollers, children, geese, and other dogs. He is playful, sweet, and affectionate, and absolutely loves people. Sand has so much love to give and seem convinced that everyone he passed on his walk might be his next best friend—he’ll look up at you with the sweetest, most hopeful eyes as if to say, “Could you be my person?” What to know about Sand: Leash walking – initially pulled but quickly settled into a loose-leash walk and consistently checked in with the handler, when the handler stops, he may bite the leash, but this may improve with training and maturity, he stops when offered a treat Did not display any prey drive and was very treat motivated - unfazed by squirrels and geese - showed mild interest in other dogs but did not pull towards them, was easy to redirect with treats when needed Car rides – he is a puppy, so he is very energetic in the car and may need some chew toys for distraction because he chewed on his leash and seatbelt Very affectionate and comfortable with handling – feet, tail, mouth, ears, and enjoyed hugs and will lay on your lap, he just wants to be right beside his human friend Three words to describe me: Affectionate, Energetic, Playful #adoptdontshop #fosteringsaveslives #adoptashelterdog #shelterdog #adoptingsaveslives
