In a TikTok video shared by @donyasmith3, she described challenging church leadership while making arrangements for the service. In the clip, she questions why the family would have to pay for the funeral after decades of financial contributions. “Where the money at when they pay their tithes every Sunday?” she asks in the video. According to her account, she and a cousin met with the pastor to discuss holding the funeral at the church where their aunt had reportedly been a member for more than five decades.
