I personally loved seeing it. They may not have won the race but they took 27 points away from the leaders and that's not something teams can afford to miss out on.

They were able to make it work in the long stage where big pace matters more. This shows that the stage cautions is what is causing the fuel savings. They need to remove stage cautions at least on super speedways because then strategies like this will work

Any form of racing where you can competitively run 1/3rd throttle, and be 30mph slower than ideal race pace for 100 miles is ridiculous.
