@holyghostmade: BURIAL DISPUTE: The father of late gospel musician ToluwaniSings, Muniru Adekunle Olayemi, has appealed to his son’s wife to allow him to bury the singer in his house or family compound, rather than in a church or cemetery. ToluwaniSings died on October 14, 2026, and reports indicate that disagreements have emerged between his father and his wife, Elizabeth, over where he should be laid to rest. Speaking in a recent interview, Olayemi said he approached his son’s wife after learning of the death online and requested that the singer be buried at home. However, she reportedly insisted on a cemetery burial. “I don’t want him buried in a church or cemetery. I want him buried in his house and that will make me happy,” the grieving father said. Olayemi also recounted that his son went to live with his maternal family following the death of his mother in 1992, just months after his birth. He said his late wife’s relatives asked to keep the child so they could help care for him while grieving her death. According to him, the maternal family raised ToluwaniSings in a Christian environment, while he maintained contact with his son and said his family supported his education. The father further revealed that the singer’s Muslim name was Sodiq Olayemi Bayonle, although he was widely known as ToluwaniSings. Olayemi is now appealing to his daughter-in-law and everyone involved in the burial arrangements to respect his wish to lay his son to rest at home, where he says prayers could also be held. The disagreement over the burial arrangements has drawn attention to the family’s differing wishes during an already difficult period of mourning.
