I saw someone say "I used to have manic episodes but they were beaten out of me" under a video where lots of people were hating on a person with bipolar for killing themself by a plane in a manic episode, i told them about how bipolar actually works and they didnt listen at all

Sometimes hypomania/mania can be caused by medical conditions and drug use/withdrawal. Not to mention schizoaffective disorders. But otherwise I agree

Mind you mania ruins your life. Genuinely ruins it and once you come out of it, you have to put everything back together on your own because you either pushed everyone away or just cut everyone off.

people with schizoaffective disorder bipolar type also experience mania , thats why my schizophrenia diagnosis is being suspected to be that instead because i do indeed experience mania according to my psychiatrist
