Yesterday started at my prosthesis appointment, then I met up with Maggie for our next round of medical adventures—her post-op appointment and my wound check. Just two girls out making memories… and meeting deductibles. 🤣🙄 The thigh douching definitely helped the tissue look healthier, which is encouraging. But the wound itself keeps creeping farther up my incision like a bad zipper on jeans that are two sizes too tight. PLEASE HOLD YOURSELF TOGETHER. 🤣🤣 So… surgery #28 is Monday. A skin graft, a wound VAC, and another addition to the patchwork parking garage on my right hip and butt cheek. 🙄 At this point, could we at least get creative with the donor-skin placement? A lightning bolt? A little heart? If I’m collecting scars, I’d like some artistic input. 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 Drop your ideas below ⬇️ But a day spent with Maggie is always a good day. Our conversations are completely unhinged and probably wouldn’t make a bit of sense to anyone with all their limbs. 🤣 We get each other, to say the least. Grateful God gave me a friend who understands the hard parts and will laugh with me through the absolutely ridiculous ones. Missing parts, full friendship. ❤️ #amputee #prosthetics #surgery #besties @Maggiemleo
