I came from unstable people, and now I’m spending my formative adult years healing instability. 😅 The people we come from hold too much power and not everyone should be allowed to procreate, though legalizing birth is the farthest thing from what we need. No solution, just observations.

Someone once told me that growing means figuring out how to love the person you started to hide/didn’t feel good about when you were younger. At 50 I look more like I did as a 15/16 year old and it feels freeing in a weird and unexpected way. Praying that freedom finds you. And love that you’re learning out loud. That takes a strength most can’t comprehend. 🥰

Well parents do shape the majority of our younger selves personality and the way we view the world…. But that doesn’t mean we cannot change at any time, because finding yourself IS Arguably ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS YOU’ll ever do! IMO

I've done my own hair since I was pretty young as well. I shaved my head and dyed it fun colors right before moving across the country. Things blew up with my family during the move and we very rarely talk now.
