@profahmedhankir: Could This New ADHD Medication Be a Game-Changer for Emotional Dysregulation? What if a new ADHD medication could help people who continue to struggle with overwhelming emotions, rejection sensitivity and relationship difficulties despite existing treatments? Centanafadine (Simtriyo) has recently received FDA approval in the United States. Unlike established ADHD medications, it inhibits the reuptake of three neurotransmitters: dopamine, noradrenaline and serotonin. Existing ADHD treatments can improve emotional dysregulation, but not everyone experiences sufficient relief. Preliminary findings are encouraging, although whether centanafadine offers additional benefits remains to be established. As both a psychiatrist and someone living with ADHD, I find this a genuinely hopeful development. Because when other treatments haven’t worked, another potential option really matters. #ADHD #EmotionalDysregulation #Psychiatry #ADHDAwareness #TheWoundedHealer

My meds aren’t helping my ADHD despite being changed and the biggest issue for me with my ADHD is executive dysfunction which is unbelievably bad.

Is it going to be affordable? $300-$600 a month is not going to help many people who have ADHD.

More and more meds are not the answer. We will critically look back at this time in history. This isn’t the way.

I have just added propranolol 2 times a day on top of my dex 3 times a day. I am only day 2 and I am blown away by the difference. I have adhd, ptsd, and perimenopause so the trifecta and I am so glad I asked for help. I hope to add HRT soon too.
