UPDATE: ADOPTED ❤️ 🚨‼️ EUTHANASIA DEADLINE 10/27 ‼️🚨 📍INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA 🚨 Austro needs a hero by 5pm 10/27 - Available to adopt, foster or be pulled by a Rescue 🚨 ❗️I do not work at the shelter and I do not have any say in their decisions. Animals being euthanized for kennel space breaks my heart so I do everything I can to make sure it doesn’t happen. I foster at risk/euth listed dogs & cats to keep them safe, post the other at risk animals in the shelter & help coordinate rescue so we can save as many as possible ❤️ ─────── 🩵 Austro, A368240 📍 Indianapolis Animal Care Services Shelter location: 5001 E Raymond St, Indianapolis, IN Here’s what his friends say… “Austro had a blast at the Pet Adoption Event - Speedway Subaru event today where he met plenty of human and doggie friends. He would be a wonderful companion for an active human and would do great with another playful dog. He knows sit, shake, and LOVES toys!” “Austro is such a good dog! I think he would make a great adventure buddy! 😍” “My family (including two 7yo kids) visited with this beautiful boy today. He is a total lover. If you’re thinking about adding to your family, go say hi. He is the perfect mix of chill and playful.” ─────── Staff notes & info from the Indianapolis Animal Care Services Trello page: Breed: Pitbull Sex: Neutered Male Weight: 43 lbs Age: 4 Years old Heartworm: Negative Experienced with Dogs: Unknown Experienced with Cats: Unknown Experienced with Kids: Unknown Available for Rescue: Yes Available for Adoption: Yes Available for IACS Foster: Yes Austro is seeking rescue placement due to being stress and having very poor kennel presence here at the shelter. It is noted multiple times that he is cuddly and friendly once out of his kennel and that he is easy to leash and walk. He came in as a stray and even though he was cornered and extremely stress when he was being caught to be brought in, he never attempted to bite. We would love to get this guy into a less stressful environment, so he can relax and let his true colors. ─────── 📍Location: Indianapolis Animal Care Services Shelter Address: 5001 E Raymond St Indianapolis, IN 46205 Adoptions: adoptions@indy.gov Rescues: iacsrescue@indy.gov PLEASE MESSAGE ME OR GO TO THE SHELTER IN PERSON IF YOU CAN HELP YOU ARE UNLIKELY TO RECEIVE A RESPONSE FROM THE SHELTER VIA PHONE OR EMAIL The shelter is open daily from 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm ⟡ No appointment is required ⟡ Animals shown until 6:30 pm ⟡ Euthanasia Deadline animals need placement by 5pm to be guaranteed safe A government-issued photo ID is required to walk through the kennels and to adopt.
