Field Observation 09/22/26: This animal showed signs of kennel reactivity/aggression. The animal growled w/ hackles up, and fled to the far side of the kennel when approached. 09/23/26: This animal showed signs of kennel reactivity/aggression. The animal growled and barked w/ hackles up, and advanced towards the door when approached. Shelter Observation 10/03/26: friendly, relaxed body and greets you at door. 10/12/26: Cali was observed hitting the kennel door and vocalizing repeatedly, displaying signs of stress 10/14/26: When approaching kennel pet was standing, barking at the back of kennel. He approached the front when he noticed I was there, he jumped up on the bars and started barking. I offered him treat and he took gently through the bars. He might know sit or just know that he gets a treat IF he sits, he had a calm relaxed posture during our interaction, observant, seems treat motivated. On our walk he did good when we passed by yards with dogs in them. When I sat down to take a break with him he even sat in my lap and allowed me to give him many pets! He is a sweet boy who is just overwhelmed by the shelter.
