In my opinion- there’s such a strong parallel- god created the angels as pure and beautiful but they weren’t perfect- they were flawed too. God withdrawing his attention/ love was the disease that spread and brought down the two archangels; their jealousy grew to manifest in different ways - Lucifer became obsessed with trying to prove the new object of attention wasn’t deserving of love and attention; Michael became obsessed with trying to prove his own worth still being fiercely, blindly obedient . Gabriel was struck in the middle.

I am so sad that they didn't explore the relationship between Lucifer and Gabriel. It would have been incredible interesting and very emotional. Especially because Lucifer was a rolemodel for Gabriel.

I think people need to remember that Supernatural is fictional and not biblically accurate. Lucifer wasn’t God’s son like Jesus is. He was a created angel, while Jesus is the eternal Son of God. Lucifer’s downfall wasn’t because God abandoned him or loved humanity more. Scripture associates Satan’s downfall with pride and rebellion against God, not jealousy over God’s love for humans. He wanted to exalt himself above God. We can sympathize with how the show portrays Lucifer, but that doesn’t change what the Bible teaches. There’s a difference between enjoying a fictional character and understanding Scripture.

This scene killed me. Gabriel loved his family so much. The archangels and God were so different before Chuck made the world. Gabriel just wanted to be a family like before and then he was the one to have to tell his brother that. And I don’t know if it would have felt the same for Lucifer from anyone else. Idk if he would have heard it the same way 😭

Once it was revealed that the "trickster" was Gabriel I became soo emotional every time he dies, even on my rewatches before the truth is revealed, Gabriel deserved better 😭
