@harukamori.jp: Emily Osment spoke up behind the scenes of Young Sheldon for a reason that went beyond her own comfort—and it may change how fans look at one of the show's romantic storylines. The 34-year-old actress requested an intimacy coordinator while filming kissing scenes with co-star Montana Jordan, who was 18 at the time. Osment was around 30, and the age gap made her uneasy about how the scenes would feel for the younger actor. “That made me uncomfortable. He was a baby! A baby with a mullet,” she recalled in Jessica Radloff’s book, Young Sheldon: The (Juicier-Than-Meemaw’s-Brisket) Inside Story of the Hit Comedy. Osment spoke to producer Tim Marx, but it was too late to bring a coordinator to the set that day. The production arranged to have one present for the following episodes as the characters’ relationship developed. For Osment, the decision wasn't just about herself. She worried Jordan might not know he could ask for the same support. “Like, let’s give him the option, too. Make him comfortable,” she explained. Director Alex Reid later admitted the production had “totally dropped the ball” by not initially having an intimacy coordinator available. He also recalled that both actors felt awkward because they barely knew each other when they filmed the scene. Co-creator Steve Molaro supported Osment's decision, saying she had every right to ask for help. Her experience highlights an important lesson about filming romantic scenes: performers should have the support they need to feel comfortable and respected. Would you like intimacy coordinators to be standard for romantic scenes on television sets? \#EmilyOsment #YoungSheldon #MontanaJordan #HollywoodNews #entertainmentnews
