I remember watching when the show first came out and rewatching now. I find it interesting how Kate makes all these claims about Collin yet his supposed bad behavior is never visible on camera just him being a normal child. Maddy on the other hand was a bully, spoiled, mean and treating everyone of the children horribly. Why wasn’t she ever institutionalized for her behavior?!

Reading Collins book now and I’m sick knowing that no one helped that poor boy. Not the crew, producers, staff sue had in the home. I get more and more pissed each chapter I read.

Often times we find adult blaming the kids and supporting the abuser. Parents can be different to each child often. How many consider how her actions impacted his mental health and reactions.

Kate was a horrible wife and woman. She used to berate John all the time on the series. She's the horrible person. She let the money and fame get to her head. She doesn't realize she's not famous anymore. John didn't wanna do the show anymore he was sick of it and TLC sued him for over $1,000,000. Kate wanted to continue.

I can’t believe Kate created a home make prison for Colin and locked him up away from his siblings. Zip tied him and sent him to a mental institution, fed him pills he didn’t need and caused him to be kicked out from the military. How can someone have that much hate for a child?
