definitely not like that. 😂😂 ASTM C172 ("Standard Practice for Sampling Freshly Mixed Concrete") 1. Sample Size: The composite sample must be at least 1 cubic foot (0.03 m³) in volume. 2.Collection Method: Pass a receptacle completely through the discharge stream or completely divert the discharge stream into a sample container. The container must be dampened before use. 3.Number of Layers: For a standard 150 mm cube, fill the mold in 3 equal layers (each roughly 50 mm thick). 4.Releasing Entrapped Air (Tapping): After rodding each distinct layer, use a rubber mallet or raw-hide hammer to tap the external sides of the mold 10 to 15 times. 5.Finishing the Surface: Once the final layer has been rodded and the mold tapped, strike off the excess concrete flush with the top lip of the mold using the tamping rod or a steel float in a sawing motion. Trowel the top completely smooth. 👍
