We know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of a lecture or an argument or abuse. We know how heavy guilt is or how exhausting fear can be. As Dostoyevsky said “we have every reason to become cold”, to reduce others emotions down to a mere part of our own life, to assume only we can suffer. However, what separates the beautiful from the others is their acknowledgment of everyone else. The realisation of quite how significant their life is. The awareness every emotion you felt when you suffered they will feel when they suffer. Rather than seeding the universe with more sorrow, we must attempt to not retaliate.
