I love this movie, but Drac was so controlling and overbearing. He couldn’t stand possibly having a human grandson and was SO forceful and made the poor kid feel like he was nothing if he wasn’t a vampire.

I really hated how in each movie they backpedal on lessons from the first movie. Dracula tries to accept change in humanity because of Johnny falling in love with Mavis but couldn’t bring himself in the fourth movie to allow Johnny to run the hotel (who has Mavis by HIS side), while Mavis wants to live a life where she can find acceptance from humans like what Johnny did but couldn’t bring herself to allow Dennis to live among a world of humans AND monsters (which he’s a mix of). (Side note; It’s been a while for me since I’ve seen these movies, so I apologize in advance if I’m getting some of these wrong)
