I've only been to burmuda, and eastern and western Caribbean...but they always have a local pilot captain that uses a Pilot boat to come on board to maneuver to and from ports until the cruise ship is far enough away from the port...I wonder if they do that overseas or if it was the actual cruise ship captain at fault

That’s not a cruise ship. It’s’ a container ship. It’s’ MSC main business. Believe they are the largest privately owned shipping org. They are very serious about their technical issues in the crafts and training. This ship must be between a rock and a hard place .
