@fashionlover.666: There was never such a thing as poor women having front laced corsets or even wearing them backwards. I’m not even sure if front lacing corsets even existed historically. Corset already close in the front anyway and wearing them backwards just doesn’t make any sense. All this misinformation and confusion comes from a single fan theory. That is why I always correct such things cause some people think this idea is based on a real practice and treat it like that when it doesn’t even make any sense historically.
