If it wasn’t already obvious, the Lamborghini Reventon is a tribute to the F-22 Raptor, and it was revealed in 2007 as a Murcielago-based few-off, powered by the same 6.5 liter V12. The exterior design is entirely different, penned by the legendary Filippo Perini, but underneath the bodywork it’s an LP-640, putting out only ten extra horsepower. The biggest difference between the two is probably the price tag: while the Murcielago retailed for $350,000, the Reventon had a base price of $1,500,000, all while essentially being mechanically identical. It was Lamborghini’s first entry into their few-off program, which now includes cars like the Aventador-based Veneno.
