Venti being barbatos is like an open secret. Like most people wouldn't believe it anyways, and he only keeps his identity hidden to keep a low profile. Its not like Zhongli where he faked his death, barbatos is very much still seen as a real god that actively watches over mondstadt to the people.

Actually, it's very normal for bards to be in epicenter of the worst world changing shit. They are very dedicated to their professions (bards are often have additional hobbies aka historians + spies)
