@sleptoncinemaa: Is Alien 3 the most misunderstood sci-fi masterpiece ever made? 🎬 Critics back in 1992 didn't know what to make of this bleak, haunting alien prison movie—they called it "incoherent" and "grueling." But in Episode 78 of Slept-On Cinema, we set the record straight: this is the highest-quality film we've covered, and it’s a masterclass in atmosphere. David Fincher may have disowned it due to corporate meddling, but the visual storytelling here is untouchable. It’s a somber, high-stakes descent into madness that deserves way more respect than a sub-50% Rotten Tomatoes score. We aren't here for the cynical takes; we're here to celebrate the Ripley-Xenomorph tension and the incredible, gritty craft that went into this film. If you haven't given Alien 3 a chance in a while, it's time to go back to the colony. What’s your take—bleak masterpiece or total miss?
