honestly I believe both..... I believe Kate abused him and he acted out because of it. I also believe his siblings only saw the acting out and not the full extent of the abuse.

His siblings have come out in the past and said that they were scared of him due to his intensely violent behavior. He also accused Jon of extreme physical abuse-he said Jon repeatedly kicked him in the ribs as he was balled up in the fetal position. Why did he leave that out of the book?

When she says things like he was violent or hurt animals, there was 1 older sibling that spoke of stabbing a sibling with a pencil, and would kick. push and hit her siblings. So is she pushing that one Colin, when you clearly see a different sibling doing that.

Her password for the facility was “happiness” she literally says the quiet part out loud. Why on Earth would you choose that? It’s evil. And not taking the siblings gifts he made? Also, you see her on TV treating him different. If you put the clues together, it’s hard to believe her narrative.
