I’m an ex-commando, but bro, we have to acknowledge one thing: ex-commandos can never be ex-boys, and ex-boys can never be ex-commandos. I agree that the kind of training and exposure may differ, especially when it comes to weapons and practical combat experience. But there’s a lot the military teaches you about discipline, ethics, conduct and mindset. And let’s be honest, not every command or formation even gives the same level of training. Being around soldiers and going through that environment shapes you in ways beyond handling weapons. So let’s respect the differences without acting like one experience automatically makes the other irrelevant. 🤝
