WHO IS TELLING THE TRUTH? THE DSS/POLICE SHOULD INVESTIGATE! Following the viral video showing some individuals wearing Islamic uniforms while jogging and making controversial statements about Christians, another video has emerged featuring Pastor Mohammed Mohammed, a man who was previously a Muslim but later reverted to Christianity. In his video, he claimed that around 1 p.m. yesterday, a popular Izala imam called him and explained that the young man in the viral video was not an Izala member but belonged to the Ɗarika, associated with Tijjaniyya or Qadiriyya. However, I have serious doubts about this claim. If the conversation genuinely took place, I challenge Pastor Mohammed Mohammed to provide the audio recording, identify the imam who allegedly called him, or present credible evidence to support his statement. Why is this important? Because unverified claims about the young man’s religious affiliation could create unnecessary tension and conflict between Izala and Ɗarika followers, further deepening religious divisions in Nigeria. I therefore call on the DSS and other relevant security agencies to investigate both the original video and the subsequent claims, establish the facts, and take appropriate lawful action where necessary. This is not about defending one Islamic association against another. It is about truth, accountability, and protecting innocent Nigerians from the consequences of misinformation. If the claim is true, let the evidence speak. If it is false, that should also be established through a proper investigation. Nobody should make serious claims capable of creating religious tension without being prepared to substantiate them. Nigeria needs peace, unity, and truth—not division among Muslims or between Muslims and Christians.
