Patrick Samuel Nsengimana :
2026 was the year I lost someone I genuinely thought I would spend the rest of my life with. Someone who wasn’t just my girlfriend, but my home, my comfort, my peace, and the person I imagined growing old with. For four years, I built memories, dreams, and plans around us, believing that no matter what life brought our way, we would always find our way back to each other. Our relationship felt like home, and losing her felt like losing a part of myself I can never get back. The hardest part is that I didn’t just lose a person; I lost the future I had imagined with her, the little things I took for granted, the conversations, the laughter, and the feeling of having someone who meant everything to me. I never imagined that someone who once felt like home would eventually become a memory I have to learn to live with. Life has taught me that sometimes you can love someone with everything you have and still lose them. And honestly, I don't think people understand how much a heartbreak can change you until they experience it themselves. A part of me will always be grateful for what we had, but another part of me will always wonder how something that felt so right could end up hurting so much
