ouch.... so i guess it all depends on that parent... sometimes we have been beat, and legit think thats how its supposed to be... however, my mom straight choked me out when I was 14...and I haven't done that to my kids... I do work with my mom to make some changes, she tries!! But she is also dealing... I pray we can all heal together in the light... that means stop posting on these no contact trends...because its a trend and like 90% of the stuff I see is parents and adult children have a disagreement...not beatings, just hard words that make everyone look like they mean..
