😂I agree. I literally had the same experience. Until it’s actually finished I was like oh it looks good, but the entire time was just critiquing the entire painting.

Painting is really the only time my mind is truly silent, but I understand that’s not the case for everyone and it is definitely frustrating at times, but I found a way that guarantees this peaceful mindset during the process is painting something I truly love

Oh my gosh I almost thought I was alone in this feeling, I find the process so draining but once it’s done I feel this deep sense of relief that makes me feel better so it’s such a push and pull relationship haha
