I’ll die on this hill, always tip your guide. Plan for the tip in your hunt budget or don’t book it

Hey man! As someone who works for an operation that charges $5k PP. If you have the money to spend that on a hunting trip, you have the money to tip us 18-20%! And if you don’t, step aside, there’s another group that would be glad to! Thanks!

Your personal guide is getting paid a base hourly wage. The outfitter(owner of the company) is the one profiting from that 5,000. Most guides make around 20$ per hour or 200$ a day maximum. It’s also a seasonal job so most are only working 4-5 months. They need and deserve this tips

I just paid 15,000 for a deer hunt and then had to pay 1,100 in tips seems ridiculous

5k and you’re having to tip? No you’re not cheap… they should pay their guid more fairly. That’s ridiculous.

Business owners should stop relying on tips to pay their employees or business expenses.

I went on a girls only guided goose hunt paid $1000 for room & guide and host REQUIRED each girl to tip minimum $40/day to the guide. 9 of us total. And I came home with 2geese. Don’t ever want a guided hunt again

If I could afford $5,000 for a hunt I would be able to afford a couple hundred for a tip.

Paying $5k to hunt is insane. Unless I’m hunting some exotic animal, it’s diabolical. And expecting a tip on top of that is crazy

I drove the guy who owns Jon Hart bags to a deer stand, sat with him for 12 minutes and told him what deer to shoot. Gutted said deer and drug it in the cooler. That man gave me $4,000 the morning he left. Also gave me a JH gunbag and a tote for the lady.

As a past guide back in the day, tip the guide. Yes we got paid but probably not as much as you think. I worked my ass off for my hunters. If you can’t tip go on public land!
