The inflation rate is distorted by the cost of a bunch of goods nobody acts needs to buy going up very little or not at all, while the things we need to consume go way up. This also seems to indicate that the inflation is largely manufactured by greed.

The price of deodorant alone is so indicative of what's going on. At some point we are going to just make it trendy to smell bad because who tf wants to waste $8 on deodorant!! For some people that's an hour of work!! I'm the shopper in my house and I can absolutely, unequivocally confirm that prices are the highest they've ever been in my life!!!

i had a lapse in critical thinking over the weekend because I was so excited that a one-time bonus was coming this week that i ran to Costco for essentials before remembering that we only actually receive about 65% of it. 🙃

This shocked the shit out of me yesterday. I in fact did not buy the Cherry Coke Zero I was craving. $3.79 for a 20 oz coke, wtf?

$200-$400 on average for Grocery Bills man. $200 used to be ballin out back in the day, good for the month on $200. Now $200 barely will get a family of 3 through the week😂✌

My grocery bill for a family of 4 for the week was $300, I didn’t even get everything I wanted to get. Just groceries and necessities- at ALDIS. 2 years ago, it would have been 150-200 and I probably would have gotten more. This is exhausting.

When I use my full wic benefits at once, for one toddler who gets the smallest amounts offered, it’s around $300. That’s just crazy.. and that’s healthy options. Usually store brand options.
