I see the guinea pig police are here. We used guinea pig safe wash, washed their bodies and tried not to get it on their heads, tried to keep them on the shallow end of the tub& it is ok to give them a quick bath once a year. Don't jump to conclusions based on a 5 second video. We care deeply about our guinea pigs and give them the best care that we can.

Girl i was in vet school & i have owned guinea pigs for years, still currently own them. I have given ALL of them baths when they need it:) these people are crazy😭

Piggie bathing is totally ok in many cases!! Especially as they age and have a harder time grooming themselves and moving!!! Just keep it short and safe, and around 1-3 times a year!

Damn all I was gonna say is I recommend putting a damp towel on the bottom of the tub so they don’t slip on the porcelain but everyone in here is dragging your ass for basic maintenance 😭😭

I bathe mine once a month and they are just fine … they also drink out of bowls and will sometimes get in their bowl ..
