I’m cool with the permanent lights, but when it’s not a holiday I’d turn them off. I think they look tacky year round.

I personally have the Govee outdoor light. So yes u can do seasonal colors but u can just do accent white in the corner sides of the house only for the rest of the year. I also have a house with 30ft archways and doing Christmas light hanging off a ladder and only grabbing 3ft each direction gets sketchy.

Hear me out I’m a busy single mom. I have the permanent lights but I only use them at Christmas. I’ve had them up for three years and they were great they’re hidden and they’re not in use and I don’t have to worry about getting a ladder out every year I’m putting them up and then getting a ladder out again to take down

We do Halloween, Christmas, then big events in our city- like Spurs Colors when they’re in the playoffs. Everyone on the block does it and it’s fun. We don’t yuck others fun if they do it on Valentines Day or other random holidays.

Our roofline is above the second floor so it’s too high for us—we’d have to hire someone. We did permanent lights when we bought the house. We only did them for Christmas, then Halloween, and the kids love to pick them for their birthday. It’s become part of how we celebrate ❤️

I am not a fan of them enough to have them at my house, but I do like it for my neighbors on the 4th of July and other holidays that you don’t typically put lights up for, just not for me personally.

I hate permanent lights- we just get our Christmas lights professionally installed. Just had them put up- won't turn them on until Black Friday- but they come back and take them down in January then store them for us. It's perfect!
