I never understood why a woman would want to change the man they married- why did you get married to him if you didn’t like him so much he needed changing?

Honestly if you reveal this problem to your wife, she should react with an apology and work on HERSELF to be less critical. I promise you, you can have standards and still choose to appreciate the positives in every situation.

no, whats was wrong is he is still expected to endure this for years of not for the rest of his life, end of story, while if the roles were reversed, she is expected to leave within hours of one instance and will be celebrated for doing so.

Been there! No matter what I tried or changed about myself to make her happy, it never got better. It only got worse and she became meaner and more disrespectful. At some point you realize that this isn't sustainable or fixable if she refuses to change. Every argument ended with it being your fault and there was never a resolution. After 18 years, I filed because she said she wanted out and wasn't happy. She said she wanted options and to go live her best life! The divorce was finalized over 2 years ago now. I've slowly started to get back the man I used to be. I'm at peace. I have zero contact with her, even though she tries to hoover me back in. I don't let her. I'm single, happy, content and close to retirement. I'm thinking about getting a GSP dog so I can train him and hunt for birds. Turns out, I'm living my best life now. And I get to live in Maine!!!

i stayed for 5 years thinking I could stay for the kids, it got to the point my kids were picking up on and treating me the same. I finally left and it was hard at first but it got better, I got better.

this was basically my ex-wife, nothing I did was ever good enough for her and I tried to tell her multiple times how I was feeling and she just didn't care completely disregarded me, divorcing her was one of the best decisions I ever made, because now I'm with the most amazing woman I've ever met

Living it right now. I’m never enough. I can do things right but if there will be one mistake, even smallest mistake- I’ll be critisized, “oh, I better do it myself” “Am I your mom?” “You can never do it yourself” - this shit actually let me down, I’m tired and mad. Mad because I could never talk with this person and agree on the things. If she is not living in her “little dream world” its not good enough and you are useless. That is sad but I know that she will understand it when there will be no one to ask, to talk with, to ask help etc. Unfortunately we live seperately for a month now. When I try to talk and tell my side, all I get is constant arguments and blaming. At this point I don’t want to argue, I want peace!

Sounds exactly like my situation. We were married for 26yrs and I spent the last 11yrs trapped in this man’s cycle of criticism from the wife. We eventually separated then divorced. I moved to a different part of the country to start over

You mean an “authoritative men’s outfit” to get through a _bad day_, right? 😎** So you still look firm + confident even when you’re in a _bad mood_, the key is: simple, neat, and neutral colors. An authoritative outfit = people automatically respect you. ### *3 Authoritative Men’s Outfit Formulas to Beat Bad Days* **1. Smart Casual CEO Mode** For college, work, or hanging out but still respected - **Top:** Plain Oxford shirt in navy, black, or white. Roll up the sleeves a bit. - **Bottoms:** Chino pants/ankle pants in khaki, charcoal, or black. No rips. - **Shoes:** Loafers, Chelsea boots, or clean white sneakers. - **Extra:** Leather/steel watch + sunglasses. ***Vibes:*** Calm but dominant. Bad day steps aside. **2. Monochrome Minimalist** The easiest but with a strong effect - **Top:** Fitted black crew neck/henley T-shirt, not oversized - **Bottoms:** Black dress pants or slim-fit black washed jeans - **Outer:** Overshirt or chore jacket in a matching color - **Shoes:** Boots or full black sneakers ***Vibes:*** Mysterious, focused, no drama. **3. Old Money Clean Look** Looks expensive without big logos - **Top:** Neat polo shirt or linen shirt in earth tones: olive, cream, mocha - **Bottoms:** Straight-cut dress pants in beige/off-white - **Shoes:** Premium white sneakers or penny loafers - **Extra:** Leather belt, slicked-back neat hair ***Vibes:*** Mature, classy, bad days don’t dare to bother you. --- ### *Key to Looking Authoritative So Bad Days Lose:* 1. **Fit is king:** Clothes that fit your body > expensive clothes that are too big 2. **Dark & neutral colors:** Black, navy, gray, olive = instantly authoritative 3. **Neat from head to toe:** Hair, nails, shoes clean. Messy = authority drops 4. **Don’t overdo accessories:** 1 watch is enough ### *Hashtag Edition* If you want to post OOTD on a bad day but still look authoritative: ` #BadDay #BerwibawaDuluBadDayKemudian #OutfitTegas #CleanLook #blackmenoftiktok
