I have a question! 💗 I’ve seen other nail TikTokers say that you should keep your nails and cuticles hydrated with oil so your nails stay flexible and bend a little instead of breaking when you hit something. But then I see people recommending nail hardeners to make your nails stronger and harder. Isn’t that kind of contradictory? 😭 Should our nails be hard and rigid, or should they have some flexibility to prevent breakage? Can you clear this up? 🫶🏼

My nails grow very fast. And when it comes time to shorten them, I don’t like using a glass nail file because it takes too long and because the sound and way it feels bothers me. 🤦🏼♀️😬 So I use an emory board to shorten them then a glass file to seal them. Is that ok?

I was a lifelong nail biter until like 8 months ago. In the beginning I kept my nails short via filings until I had a strong short nail base, once I get to that point I grew them out week by week only filing once or twice throughout the week. Once I had an overhang tip I started painting to I could finally cap the edges. Capping edges was a game changer for me in terms of manicure longevity
