L fan but this is just bs, L is probably smarter than Light sure but it is close, Light technically got L killed. Now yes he was using a magical death note that can control people, erase memory and kill anyone without a trace + he had a manipulatable shinigami (Rem) but he also had limiting factors which L didn't have (Misa's stupidity and lack of care that made him have to lose his memory in the first place, L having everyone's support and infinite resources, Light being a suspect very early so he had to be very careful with his actions to avoid suspicition and being forced to lose his memory and therefore unable to do anything for a prolonged period of time) and so L's death still shows they don't have a big gap between them. Also in the beginning of death note, L and Light were deliberately compared and likened to each other showing they're very close in intelligence. For example they got the same score on the university entrence exam, also the scene where both promise to catch each other after the Lind L Tailor trap, also L constantly praising Light's detective abilities and comparing them to himself, which was literally proven during the Yotsuba arc where Light was doing basically as much as a detective as L was doing.
