he did call her once after i think it was her mother or his requested it stating she was really struggling mentally on her bday but that being said just because he has forgiven her doesn’t mean he wants to see her .forgiving someone doesn’t stop old emotions and memories coming back when u see them. Would u want to see somone who murdered your kids

It’s interesting how perception can shape how two people view the same information. You see him vacationing. I see him escaping the media circus at home to hike and try to clear his mind. You see him leaving Lindsay and the kids behind. I see it as an obvious practical move. He’s a single man. What is he supposed to do with a 4 bedroom house? Especially if that house is the site of the most traumatic event one could imagine. He never could sleep there again after the murders. It’s a shock it took him a year to sell it. The house was also tied to a town where he’s practically living in a fishbowl where everyone knows him and his tragedy. He chose to go somewhere where he can get a fresh start. You see him throwing all the children’s belongings away. I see him hanging on to sentimental items and donating the rest to children in need. Again, this isn’t a movie or a novel. Life has to go on. He’s going from a 4 bedroom house to a one bedroom apartment. They had just a kid’s birthday and Christmas. What is he supposed to do with the 5-6 Paw Patrol stuffies? What is he supposed to do with a double stroller? You see him as discarding Lindsay. I see him trying to make sure there are no more Lindsays or child victims with his activism work. Regarding his demeanor on the stand, the vast majority of the time is spent asking him about a photo he took or random google search from 4 years earlier. It is boring. Couple that with the fact that he’s not particularly a fan of the prosecution considering what they’re doing to his ex-wife, he may appear bored. I think this also shows he’s being open and forthcoming. A guilty man would appear more rehearsed and pointed in his testimony. When they get closer to the night of the incident, you can see what looks like the beginning of a panic attack with his heavy breathing and clutching his chest at times. Finally, forgiveness is more for the victim than the offender. He must do the internal work of forgiving her in order to let go of the anger and process his grief. You can forgive someone while maintaining boundaries. The fact that he didn’t spit on her when he encountered her is gracious if you ask me.
