My own assessment; selfishness, bigotry, favoritism and tribalism is what destroying Africa. These leads to corruption. Let's start with first become self sufficient in food production secondly; buy and indigenize technology. We don't need outsiders , we need leaders who don't benefit from poverty, ignorance and suffering of African .

You are a light to them, but they do not understand you. You are cursed to live in a society whose mentality does not align with your own.

i agree! if our national teams can hire foreign coaches to manage our football teams I don't see why we should hire foreign presidents to run our countries

An absolutely insightful post. What's your view on indigenous and cultural practices in Africa and is it still relevant?

My brother, I truly enjoy your videos about Africa and why we continue to fall behind. I have raised these concerns many times myself. In my opinion, one of Africa's biggest problems is the failure of our political leaders and policymakers to build strong institutions, organize our societies, and plan for meaningful development. Many African countries gained independence over 60 years ago, yet millions of people still struggle with basic necessities such as clean running water, reliable electricity, proper sanitation, and clean streets. The level of underdevelopment and disorganization is deeply disappointing. Some people may disagree with this assessment, but we cannot continue ignoring these realities. I appreciate your videos because you highlight important problems. However, I would also love to hear more about practical solutions. Africa needs more than criticism. We need accountability, effective leadership, long-term planning, and action that produces real results.... 😭

I like this post because it pairs a clear diagnosis with concrete proposals. More of our public debate should follow that format. Many African states inherited extractive political and economic systems. Too often, post-independence elites did not dismantle them; they took them over. The colonial machinery stayed, and only the faces at the top changed. In some cases, citizens have been treated worse by their own leaders than under colonial rule. Sixty years on, that pattern is still largely intact. Partnerships with more advanced economies can help, and they are welcome. But no one will develop Africa sustainably on Africans' behalf. That responsibility is ours. I firmly believe there are African leaders capable of governing with integrity, discipline and vision. They need to step forward, take responsibility and lead.

Solution based comment, thank you. How do we force our leaders to change their thinking and implement? We have done enough thinking.
