San Francisco, here’s how you can vote now until Election Day on Tuesday, November 3: 🗳️ Return your ballot to a Department of Elections drop box. There are 37 official drop boxes, and each one shows the city seal and the American flag. Outdoor drop boxes are open 24/7 until 8 pm on Election Day. To find a drop box near you, visit sfelections.gov/dropboxes. 🗳️ Return your ballot to a voting site. Drop off your ballot at the City Hall Voting Center during Voting Center hours, which are: weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm, the weekend before Election Day from 10 am to 4 pm, and Election Day (Tuesday, November 3) from 7 am to 8 pm. From 7 am to 8 pm on Election Day, you can drop off your ballot at City Hall or at any of the 501 polling places in San Francisco. On Election Day, check your polling location sfelections.org/tools/map_poll_time/. 🗳️ Return your ballot by mail. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Election Day to be counted. If mailing your ballot on Election Day, take it to a post office counter and request a “hand stamp” or “manual postmark.” Ballots mailed on Election Day may not be postmarked or picked up until the next day. A late postmark means your ballot cannot be counted. 🗳️ Vote in person. You can vote at the City Hall Voting Center from now through Election Day or at your assigned polling place on Election Day. The City Hall Voting Center is located on the ground floor of City Hall, in front of Room 48. On Election Day, 501 polling places across San Francisco will be open from 7 am to 8 pm. Find your assigned polling place and wait times here: sfelections.org/tools/map_poll_time/. Even if you missed the voter registration deadline, you can still vote! From now until Election Day, you can register and vote in person at the City Hall Voting Center. On Election Day, you can also register and vote at a polling place. After registering to vote, you will get a provisional ballot, which will be counted once your registration is confirmed.
