He was unbelievably tiny, but from his very first breath, he was a fighter. Before I ever knew him—before either of us knew that our stories would one day become one—this little boy was already doing what he has continued to do his entire life: Just keep swimming. ❤️ Through a beginning that required more strength than any baby should need. Through every challenge, every hard thing, every new adventure… he just keeps swimming. And somewhere along the way, God brought our stories together and gave me the incredible privilege of being his mom. Now that tiny 1 lb. 12 oz. baby is the funniest, sweetest, wildest, most determined almost 10-year-old. The little legs that once had to fight just to grow now carry him onto the ice, where he puts on his goalie gear and fearlessly takes his place in the net. 🏒 Easton, I may not have given you life, but you changed mine forever. Being your mom is one of the greatest gifts God has ever given me. I am so proud of the boy you are and can’t wait to see the person you’re becoming. And if I had a thousand lives to live, I’d choose you in every single one.
