These glowing bands stretch across the sky and can be an early sign of an aurora display. 💚 DRAPE: As aurora activity increases, the lights can develop into long, moving curtains that dance across the sky. 💚 SPIRAL: Sometimes the Northern Lights twist into swirling, spiral-like shapes that can disappear almost as quickly as they form. 💚 CORONA: One of the most incredible Northern Lights displays happens when the aurora is directly overhead, making the lights appear to burst outward in every direction, like a crown. After 4+ years of chasing the Northern Lights around the world, one thing we’ve learned is that the sky can change completely in just a few minutes.
