It’s so sad because the coach could’ve just subbed him out then had a conversation with the family after the game just letting them know that even though he’s already been moved up in an age group where he’s playing 5 to 7-year-olds that he may be ready to play and even higher age group or benefit from personalized training of some kind because he’s just that good. Then the we could’ve offered to help them find a more appropriate place to showcase his skills. That’s all it takes is just a conversation.
