It makes me think back on this and im absolutely disgusted that I put up with this. I worked on myself and my childhood issues that had me devaluing myself this badly. It has more to do with ourselves than the Avoidant. You get what you give YOURSELF.

Breakfast: in the beginning a always made for us. The whole package! Only to be rejected and blown away, both verbally and physically! Verbally usually was like -You don’t need to do this because then I have to do the same to you one day! Upfront and direct. Physically was that the breakfast trey was pushed away together with me when I tried to kiss and give the trey. I stopped doing that as well. Making for us. Also, when she makes food it’s almost always for herself and she always clean ONLY after herself when making food and eating. ❤️🩹

After we started having kids I never knew which version of my wife I would get. Some days loving, most days distant. There was always an excuse about intimacy. She was too tired, the kids, she did not feel good, the moon was not in the correct alignment with the other planets, the list goes on. It got to the point I was walking on eggshells like a monk studying kung-fu. at the 25 year mark she said she was done and since then we still are married and share a house but nothing else. she made a big scene four years ago she was leaving but soon realized she could not afford it. she is on her phone all the time and we sleep in separate bedrooms. She lives her life and I stay at home, work and take care of our child with a disability. She does help with that but she has pushed our other grown kids away so much they barely talk with her.
