@authenticanswers: Takfir of the Mushrikin: Hesitating or Withholding Judgment | Shaykh Salih al Fawzan ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📌 In this important fatwa, Shaykh Salih al Fawzan explains the methodology of Ahl al-Sunnah regarding takfir and clarifies that judgments are based upon what is outwardly apparent, while the realities of the hearts are left to Allah alone. 🚨 Takfir has two distinct realities. 1️⃣. The first is the outward ruling of applying the legislated names and labels (takfir al-ismi). This is based solely on what is outwardly apparent from a person's statements and actions. 2️⃣. The second concerns legal accountability and punishment (takfir al-hukmi). This is based on both the outward and inward realities: outwardly, the person committed an act of kufr, and inwardly, no valid excuse exists to prevent accountability. ⚠️ The Shariah requires us to affirm the outward ruling once an act or statement of kufr becomes clear. Just as we accept a person's Islam based on what is outwardly apparent, we likewise affirm a person's kufr based on what is outwardly apparent. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ #Islam #Salafi #Tawheed #Aqeedah #Sunnah
