No but killing them doesn’t erase that that’s where they died and that’s how they lived up until they died. If you really wanted to make a point, and I know this might not be financially doable, you’d show them living their best life until adoption and euth

there are 90-100 million dogs, owned, stray, or in shelter. people cant possibly believe that 1 in 3 u.s. adults will have a dog.

If you suspect a healthy animal is being euthanised you can report them: Contact Local Animal Control (if not the offending agency): Animal control agencies often oversee contracts with private shelters and can investigate if a shelter is violating local animal welfare ordinances. * Contact Your State's Department of Agriculture: In many states, the Department of Agriculture or a dedicated state animal welfare agency oversees shelter licensing and can investigate complaints regarding animal care. * Report to the State Veterinarian: The State Veterinarian’s office can handle complaints regarding the misuse of euthanasia drugs (e.g., sodium pentobarbital) if the shelter is not following proper veterinary protocols. * Contact the Board of Directors: If it is a private, non-profit shelter, address your concerns to the Board of Directors, as they are responsible for setting the shelter's mission and policy. * Engage Local Media and Elected Officials:If internal complaints fail, contacting local news outlets, city council members, or county commissioners can put pressure on the shelteer, as they often receive public funding. Nothing will change if you don’t push for change!

people don't understand that the ethical thing is to euthanize. there's so many more strays than there are people willing to adopt. euthanization is an unfortunate necessity, especially if the dog is reactive or a bite risk

These poor babies. Heart breaking both ways: if they’re long term stays, and if they get euthed. The only solution is to end backyard breeding/have stricter laws for animals and pets 💓🥺

I wish all the rescues could be connected on a network with shelters. There are so many options. Volunteers could sign up as a foster hotline, “Working Dog” trainers could be connected also. I keep seeing so many German Shepherd puppies that would be great for police and military training. I dont have the answer for making it come together, but This just seems so heartless. GOD BLESS all the people trying to help these sweet souls!❤️
