@driaryofjane: ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ i step off the train to the entirety of district twelve cheering for me. i feel disgusted. how could they celebrate right now? all of my friends just died. dad tugs me towards our house but thats when i see tommy’s mom and i am unmovable. shes staring at me, not with anger or sadness, but pity. she knows i am hurting just as much as she is. i wonder how much of tommy’s death the capitol aired. i tried to make it as gruesome as possible, so the capitol couldn’t air it, like they did with penelope’s. but judging by the look in miss augers eyes, she saw far too much. i wrench my wrist out from dads grip and run to her. i know there are cameras trained on us, that the capitol will air it as some sort of reconciliation, display it as “the beautiful part of the games that reminds us why we do this every year”. but i don’t care. i wrap my arms around her and squeeze her as hard as i can. hoping that, somehow, she can feel thomas in it. thomas was amazing boy. he hugged with meaning. he was shy, but kind. i loved him, and he loved me. he wanted to help me, i know he did. but he got too scared, anyone in his position would be, so he ran. and the capitol captured him. it was either kill him, as instructed by president snow, or never see my dad again. i had to make a choice. and by the way she’s squeezing me back, i think miss auger knows that too. ⠀ @casey⋆˚꩜｡ @vanessa ivory ˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ @꒰ྀི ๊˳⊹ℒ𝑒𝒶 ｡✧♪ ์ @sunny! ☀️ @𝓡𝐀𝐘. ⨂ @alex ⚢ @.⧗ ݁˖ @alex @Amir2be @Emily Jane
